Create Climate Equity’s 2025 Annual Report highlights a year of turning community insight into action. Through research, community engagement, and practical program delivery, we advanced work in clean mobility, equitable access to energy efficiency programs, and multilingual energy education.
Highlights from the report include:
Expanding access to clean mobility in Vancouver, including community-led electric vehicle education, subsidized public transit, and the groundwork for a resident-focused EV pilot.
What community organizations told us about barriers to energy efficiency programs in the GTHA, and the practical changes needed to make programs more accessible for immigrant, newcomer, refugee, and other underserved households.
How that research helped shape the launch of Empower Me in Ontario, with locally recruited Energy Mentors, multilingual support, and new community partnerships across the region.
The continued growth of Empower Me in British Columbia, where the program delivered 105 workshops, reached more than 2,000 households, and expanded its work with seniors and multilingual communities.
